Tips and Tricks
The Yarn:
Choosing your yarn to make these crochet baby work boots can be a challenge. The best yarn to use is going to be a nice soft, worsted weight yarn, or a baby yarn. I like to use baby yarn because it is nice and thin, and makes a really nice pair of baby booties.
You can use a medium weight yarn if needed, just remember, because it is thicker yarn, your booties will turn out a little bit bigger than if you use baby yarn.
Choosing Your Hook Size
Choosing your hook size can also be difficult at times. The easiest way to select your crochet hook size is by using baby yarn, that way you can simply use the recommended mm crochet hook size depending on what size baby booties you want to make.
Otherwise, you can increase or decrease the size hook you use based on your crochet stitches. If you tend to crochet tighter then you can increase your hook by a size, or decrease your hook size if you crochet more loosely.
