Welcome to Hands That Bless! My name is Faith, and I am the creator of the website.

Those of you who know me, know that I am always working on a project of some kind. From a young age, I started working on crafts, and have continued to expand my love of working on a good project.

When I was around age fourteen I got the idea that I wanted to learn how to crochet. My mom was able to teach me how to do the basic stitches, such as a chain, single crochet, and double crochet.

From there, I taught myself how to crochet more things using instruction books. Yes, this was well before the era of Pinterest and online patterns. There definitely were not any helpful YouTube videos available yet.

Once I got the hang of the basics, I went on to learn how to crochet doilies. These were some of my all-time favorite projects to make.

I also learned to knit at a young age. I don’t remember exactly how old I was, but I had grown up watching my Grandma knit. She would always be working on a project whenever I went to visit her. My Grandma was the one who taught me the basics of knitting.

I became very passionate about tie dye during the summers that I spent working as a camp counselor. There were several summers when a group of us counselors would make a late run to the store to pick up some packages of dye, and a package of white men’s t-shirts. We would then gather near the bathhouse, way too late, to create our awesome shirts. Those were fun memories, that began my love for making tie-dye projects.

I also love a good sewing project. When I was younger, I participated in 4-H for our local county fair. One of my favorite things to enter in the fair was my sewing projects.

I have since expanded upon the different projects that I like to sew. I have many different project ideas that I hope you will enjoy making as well!

My entire life I have enjoyed a good craft project. No matter if it is making something out of play dough, a paper craft, coloring a picture, or making beaded jewelry. I am always game to give something a try!

I have turned my love of creating different things into this blow, where I enjoy sharing ideas that will inspire you to start something new! I hope that you will take a look around, and find the inspiration to start your next project.
