Assembly
Now it’s time to assemble your little lamb into the finished product. I prefer to start by using a yarn needle and matching yarn to sew the lamb’s head to its body. Then stitch the feet in place.
When you are sewing the lamb pieces together, make sure to sew them securely so that they don’t come apart. Then tie your yarn securely into knots, and weave in any loose ends so that they aren’t visible.
Feel free to add any embroidery or embellishments that you wish to your little lambs. Some people even add a little bit of pink coloring to the lamb’s face to give it extra character. Feel free to make this little lamb your very own. Then enjoy your adorable creation.

Tips and Tricks
What type of Yarn is Best?
The best type of yarn to use for this crochet lamb project is a combination of a medium weight worsted weight yarn and soft velvet yarn. You can make the entire lamb out of worsted weight yarn if you prefer, but I love the combination of yarn look, it gives it so much additional texture.
For this pattern, I used white yarn that was a soft velvet yarn, gray yarn that was a #4 medium weight yarn, and also a worsted weight pink yarn. Feel free to mix it up and use whatever yarn combinations you prefer.
What Crochet Hook Size should I use?
The exact hook size you use will depend on what yarn you decide to work with. I would suggest starting with a size G or H (4.00 mm hook or 5.00 mm hook) to make your crochet amigurumi lambs, then adjust it up or down as needed. You can also reference your yarn packaging to see what the manufacturer recommends. Remember, you want your stitches to be nice and tight for a project like this so that you don’t have unwanted holes in your lamb.
How to Make the Face
If you are making this lamb for yourself or an older child, then you can use safety eyes otherwise, you will want to use black embroidery floss to stitch on the face. You can also used other colors of embroidery floss to make additional facial features on your little lamb.

Do I need a lot of yarn for this project?
You do not need to use a small amount of yarn for this little lamb pattern. The great thing about this lamb pattern it is the perfect project to use up some of your yarn scraps you have on hand.
Can I work this pattern in continuous rounds?
The above pattern is written to join each round as you go. That way you can better tell where you are, and make the exact shape instructed. However, if you prefer to work your pattern as a continuous spiral, you can work in continuous rounds.
If you choose to do this, you will skip where the pattern says to join each round, and you will also want to be sure to use a stitch marker so that you can keep track of where one round starts and ends.
