How to Make Different Sizes

The easiest way to make these cute crochet wreaths in different sizes is to use different yarn weights and larger or smaller crochet hooks. Let’s look at the different ways you can use these cute crochet wreaths, and I’ll show you what I mean about the different sizes.

Crochet Christmas Wreath Earrings

Making the Christmas wreath pattern above as mini wreath earrings is such a great way to enjoy these crochet Christmas wreaths and my personal favorite!

To make these mini crochet wreath earrings, you will want to use green and red crochet thread rather than yarn. Thread is a lot finer than yarn, so you will also want to use a smaller crochet hook. Usually, a size 2.0 mm hook size or 1.75 mm crochet hook is ideal.

To make the crochet earrings, using your thread and smaller hook, you can follow the easy pattern above. If desired, on the last round, you may want to make 2 single crochet stitches in each stitch, rather than 1.

Then to turn the crochet wreaths into earrings, I suggest using a total of four jump rings, and two fish hooks for your earrings.

Attach two jump rings to the top of your crochet Christmas wreaths, then secure the earring hook. Do this for each earring, then your stylish Christmas wreath earrings are ready to wear this Christmas season!

Making the Crochet Ornament

To make the crochet wreath pattern above into crochet Christmas tree ornaments is very easy. You will simply use your favorite yarn weight in green and red.

Crochet the Christmas wreath as the pattern above instructs, then before finishing the last round of green, make a chain, usually 20-30 chain stitches long, depending on your preference. Then join the chain to the first stitch made in that last round with a slip stitch. Now you have a hanging loop to hang your Christmas ornaments on the tree.

Packaging your Ornaments

If you want to package your crochet Christmas wreath ornaments up cute, they can make a great gift themselves, or you can use them as the perfect gift topper.

Add an Ornament to a tiny bag, or even and knitted gift bag

Another fun idea to package your ornaments is to use a tiny gift bag for your Christmas wreath crochet pattern. This is a cute way to give the crochet Christmas wreath away as a gift, but remember you can always enjoy it yourself on your own Christmas tree.

Crochet Mini Christmas Wreath Cozy

The last way that is fun to use these little crochet Christmas wreaths is to sew them applique style to a crochet cup cozy. This lets you enjoy the festive cozy or gift it away as a Christmas gift. Let’s look at how you can make the Christmas wreath cup cozy.

Coffee Sleeve Base:

To make the festive crochet Christmas wreath cozy, you will first want to make your coffee sleeve base. Essentially, this is a band that can be made to fit your favorite cup or mug.

To do this, chain as many stitches as you want the cozy to be tall. Then single crochet each row, until the cup cozy is long enough.

When your cup cozy is long enough, you can use a needle and thread to whip stitch the two ends together. Then weave in the long tail of yarn so that there are no ends visible.

To make the Christmas wreath, to add to your cup cozy, simply follow the pattern above for the wreath, then add the bow as desired.

Sew the Wreath onto the Cozy

To finish, using green yarn, sew the crochet wreath onto the font size of your crochet cozy sleeve. Be careful where you make your stitches, so that the green yarn doesn’t show where you don’t want it. When you are finished, make sure to weave in any yarn tails.

Your cute Christmas wreath cup cozy is now ready to use or give away as a gift this Christmas season.

Tips and Tricks

Make a Hanging Loop

When you are making the cute crochet Christmas wreath to hang up someplace, it is a great idea to add a chain loop to use as your hanging loop before finishing the last round off.

Crochet around a Keychain Circle

Another fun idea is to make your crochet Christmas wreath around a keychain rather than using a foundation chain. This way, your wreath will be weighted and will hang nicely from your tree. I would not recommend doing this if you are making earrings or a cup cozy though.
