Crochet Dish Towel Topper Tips and Tricks
Selecting the right ring
You can often find all different types of rings, you can find a plastic ring or wood ring in many different sizes. I like to use 3 inch wooden rings for a nice finish, but you can use plastic if you prefer. You can also use a different size if you would rather. Just keep in mind that it needs to be large enough to comfortably hold your kitchen towel. You will also need two rings for each towel holder.
The best yarn weight to use
I would recommend using a number 4 medium weight cotton yarn for this project. This specific yarn works the best because it is not super stretchy, holds its shape nicely, but has enough body to make a nicely designed holder.
The best crochet hook size
The best crochet hook size to use will depend on the specific yarn you end up using, as well as your stitching tension. I like to use a 4.5 mm hook, that way the stitches stay nice and solid. However, you can increase or decrease the size of crochet hook you use, to your liking.
